Summary of Kirk & Ann’s Missions Experience
Kirk’s as a Single – I “met” YWAM (Youth With A Mission) by doing evangelism with them at the ‘84 Olympic Outreach in L.A. In Jan. ’85, I did a “SOS” (Summer Of Service) in Australia w/ YWAM doing mostly evangelism. I also did 2 SOS’s in my hometown of Denver, CO. in ’85 & ’86. In Sept. ’86 I did my DTS (Discipleship Training School) w/ YWAM in Virginia with it’s outreach to Chile, S.A. Returning to the USA in May ‘87, I did a SOS in New Hampshire & a SOS in Denver again.
In ’88, I spent a week doing construction work on a church in Mexico with my church from Denver. In Feb. ’89, I spent 3 weeks in Jamaica w/ YWAM building replacement houses for those swept away in Hurricane Gilbert. Jan. – April ’90, I spent 4 months working w/YWAM on their ship the Anastasis in the Dominican Republic doing renovations – Electrical & Construction work, Evangelism & Bible study. In Jan. ’91, I returned to Chile to do construction work on the YWAM base and met my (future) wife, Ann Musgrave & married her January 11, 1992.
Ann’s as a Single – In July ’85, I went to Europe to help my brother, Jim, in his work with Campus Crusade I met YWAM at a “Go Fest” in Randers, Denmark & did my DTS in Spain in Jan. – May ’86. After my DTS, I stayed on at the base as a secretary & managed the kitchen there until Sept. ’86 when I went to Amsterdam, Holland & did my School of Biblical Counseling -> Sept. – Dec. ’87.
In Jan. ’88 I went on staff at the YWAM base in Virginia. In Oct.’88 I did my SOE (School Of Evangelism) w/ a 2 month outreach in Chile. After outreach, I worked in the YWAM office in Santiago, Chile until April, ’89 when I returned to the Virginia base – preparing to return to Chile. In Sept. ’89, I led a DTS outreach to Paraguay & Chile. During this time I met “Renuevo” Church in Rancagua, Chile. I stayed on at the base in Santiago serving as the secretary to the base director starting in Nov ’89 ‘til July ’91.
In Jan. ’91, I MET MY FUTURE HUSBAND – KIRK THOMAS KREBS & MARRIED JAN. 11th,’92
Kirk & Ann’s Missions Experience as Husband and Wife – “Go Global” Ministries (GGM)
1992 Summer Olympic Outreach in Barcelona, Spain – Set-up, Logistics, Electrical installations, Food Distribution, Transportation, etc… & EVANGELISM; and helped YWAM at EXPO ’92 World’s Fair in Sevilla. Mar. ’93 Construction work team to Mexico for 2 Weeks w/ First Wesleyan Church of Bartlesville, OK.
Jan. ’94 – Nov. ’04 = We returned to Rancagua, Chile to work w/ local churches in Missions Mobilization, Teaching, Discipleship, Counseling, teaching English, doing Evangelism, giving courses/seminars on Missions, Marriage Enrichment, World Christian Discipleship, Church Construction work, Translating materials into Spanish, Interpreting for visiting construction, teaching & medical teams, etc. Ann Home-schools our daughter, leads women’s small group, and Kirk teaches at Missions Conferences, in churches, on the radio, missionary bases, etc. Kirk completes 475+ page “Mission Mobilization Plan for the Local Church” in Nov ’04. In Nov. ’95 – Kirk leads a “Spying Out The Land” Trip to Spain & Morocco w/ 6 adults & 3 children from Renuevo Church of Rancagua, Chile.
Our daughter is born in JUNE of 1996 in Oklahoma!!!!!
Sept.’96 we returned to Rancagua as a family of 3! Kirk starts teaching in SPANISH! In Jan. ‘96, Kirk went w/ an Evangelism & Construction team from Renuevo to Bolivia. In Jan. of ’99, Kirk & his Chilean Co-teacher took a trip thru Argentina & Uruguay making contacts for future trips. In Aug. ’99 Kirk spent 10 days in Argentina doing his seminars. Nov.’99 Kirk visits Honduras & Cuba; makes 2nd Cuba trip in Dec of 2000. Jan.’01-Aug.’01 all 3 of us in Costa Rica attending Spanish Language School fulltime.
Sept ’01 Return to Chile to continue ministry as mentioned above. May ’02 Kirk did a 3-week teaching tour in Paraguay. Sept ’03 Kirk’s 1-month exploratory trip to Kyrgyzstan & NW China. Nov ’03 the 3 of us are part of a Cons./Evan./team to Paraguay (Ache Indian Tribe). Feb ’04 Kirk works on YWAM base in Bolivia. Oct ’04 Kirk does seminars in Santiago.
Nov. 04 we leave Chile to move on to the next phase of Ministry. Mar. ’05 Kirk does his seminar at the “Heart of God” (HGM) base in Monterrey, Mexico. Sept ’05 our family does an exploratory trip to Kyrgyzstan & NW China to confirm IF God is calling us to relocate there. While there Kirk senses that we need to contact the HGM home base in OKC. Kirk goes to HGM in Dec. & talks w/ HGM leadership. 12/15/05 Kirk receives e-mail informing us of our acceptance to work with HGM thru Aug. ’08! (www.heartofgod.com) Main responsibilities = developing the Hispanic Mobilization Dept., & base staff. Kirk is accepted as an Instructor for the nation-wide missions course “Perspectives” offered by the USCWM.
Spring of ’07 until Aug. of ’08 – The Krebs become members of a Spanish speaking church in OKC. Kirk does his 1st “Heart of God Seminar” (HGS) IN SPANISH!; He gives 2 Leadership teachings to over 130 leaders at a large Hispanic church in OKC. Kirk & Ann take the “G-12 Movement – School of Leaders” classes at their Spanish church. Kirk puts together his “Catch The Vision” Seminar; He teaches again at HGM’s base in Monterrey, Mexico on missions; He teaches the HGS in Denver at “Missions Door” & at a Hispanic church in Aurora.
8/20/08 – Arrival in Denver to live! (after 15 years!)
2009 – Kirk & Ann are trained as presenters for W.A.I.T. Training – A Sexual Abstinence & Healthy Relationship Development Curriculum presented to Teens to help “train them to wait” until marriage to have sex or to re-commit to abstinence until marriage. (www.waittraining.com )
They are also trained as video Presenters of the 1-day seminar “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” in Spanish. (www.laughyourway.com www.rianse.com )
April ’09 - Oaxaca, México – Ann 1st trip with Lakeview Park Nazarene church of OKC to Oaxaca, Mexico to translate for & minister with the team helping to church plant among a Mixteco tribe in the mountains outside of Oaxaca. Ministry in this RURAL setting includes visitation & distribution of “baskets” of basic food staples.
Nov. ’09 – The Krebs travel to Mexico for 9 days – Ann & Kari go with the team from the Naz. church of OKC to translate & minister as Ann did before. Meanwhile, Kirk stays in town at the YWAM base and gives 11 hrs of WAIT Training at a local church; does an interview on local radio; gives a leadership teaching to local pastors; speaks in 2 churches; and trains the base director in WAIT Training. (She is now presenting WT in area schools!)
Feb. 2010 – Kirk is invited by a Youth Ministry in Oklahoma to be the Speaker at their annual Mid-winter’s Retreat in Fayetteville, AR. He gives @ 10 hrs of WT to @ 30 teens. An 8.9 Earthquake hits southern Chile. Ann plans a trip to Chile.
April ’10 – Ann & Kari go with the team from the Naz. church of OKC to translate & minister as they did before.
May ’10 – Ann travels to Chile to help with local Earthquake relief by helping to set up a NGO thru our contacts there; She talks with pastors & friends to set up teaching dates for October.
Oct. ’10 – The 3 of us went to Chile for a 4-week ministry trip. Kirk presented the WAIT Training curriculum to parents in 2 different venues; He gave a brief training to the Directors of a Christian High School who want to use WT in their school and also present it to the Minister of Education to get WT into ALL the High Schools of Rancagua! (Pop. 220,000). He was granted access to 3 High Schools where he showed a video & spoke to over 250 teens about sexual abstinence & healthy relationship development. He gave a 15-hr WAIT Training where @ 150 youth attended all or part of the 2-day seminar.
Ann & Kirk also gave 3 “Laugh Your Way” seminars in 3 different locations with over 200 people in attendance.
Kirk also taught @ 12 hrs at the YWAM base in Pichilemu to a bi-lingual class of @ 35 students from @ 8 different countries. He gave the Heart of God Seminar and taught on Relationships. He also gave 2 teachings on Leadership to base staff & local pastors. All 3 of the Krebs had radio interviews.

We attend a Hui / Uyghur Prayer Summit in Ft. Collins. We have a booth there. Received more info on these 2 large Unreached Muslim People Groups in China.
Feb. ’11 & on – Ann & I start meeting with a young couple from our church on a bi-weekly basis to develop a friendship &, hopefully, minister into their lives (Discipleship). Kirk’s Mom’s immobility & dementia continue to increase = more demand on us as Care-givers to/for her. We are teaching English to a group of Karenni people from Burma on a regular basis. Many of them attend our church. We help with a monthly mercy ministry outreach from our church – mostly towards Hispanic immigrants looking for Day-Labor at a local park. Kirk (& Ann?) usually attend 1 or more monthly Spanish Speaking Pastoral mtgs at various churches in the Denver Metro area – promoting the ministry & getting to know the local pastors.
Kirk visits over 50 churches promoting our teaching ministry trying to stir up opportunities to speak/minister.
May ’11 – Kirk & Ann do a WAIT Training Parental mtg at the Spanish church they’ve been attending. Cecilia, a friend from Chile, arrives & we visit various Spanish churches with her as she shares @ Cuba – trying to raise $ for a Cuban Pastor. We blanket our local Trailer Park with Fliers announcing a Bible Study in Spanish & a special Mother’s Day event at a local church. Kirk gives a 90 min. “Taste of WAIT” at “our” Spanish church.
Aug. ’11 – Kirk teaches “The Teen Brain” (WT) at the annual pastoral conference for the Spanish Ministerial Alliance of Denver. Kirk, Ann & at times, Karissa, start attending a local “Perspectives” class as “Alumni”.
Sept. ’11 – We give our last 2 “Laugh Your Way” bi-lingual marriage seminars – because the Spanish side of the organization “goes under” because their Federal Grant is not renewed. Ann & Kirk attend a 1-day WAIT Training refresher seminar. Kirk & Ann give a WT Parental mtg for a possible WT for teens in the future.
Oct. ’11 - Kirk & Karissa take a 2-week trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama & help build 2 replacement houses for those blown away in the April 27th tornado with Habitat for Humanity.
April ’12 – Kirk takes 2nd Tornado construction trip to Cullman, Alabama for 2 weeks and works on 6 houses for the Cullman Long-Term Recovery Project – 1 Electrical rough-in, 1 helped frame it, 1 Service Change, 3 remodel work.
June 21st, 2012 – Kirk’s mother goes home to Heaven.
Dec. ’12 – Month Long Teaching Trip to Chile
WAIT Training: We did 2 parental mtgs (4-hrs) & 2 youth mtgs (16-hrs) in 2 different churches with @ 100 youth in total (They took every last one of my Sexual Abstinence Pledge Cards! – pledging themselves to sexual purity until marriage from that day forward!); We showed a “Focus on the Family” DVD for a school assembly of @ 150 7th to 12th graders; then talked to the girls & boys separately about healthy relationship development & sexual purity; We also did 8-hrs of training to over 25 teachers in 2 High Schools – teaching them how to use the WT Curriculum in their classes. This is a primary goal of WAIT Training and The Center for Relationship Education (CRE). www.myrelationshipcenter.com
I met with the couple wanting to get WT into the educational system of Chile, starting in the 6th & 7th regions. I hope to be part of or help facilitate the Training of the Chilean Teacher’s in the future.
Taught on Missions to the church’s Leadership we worked with for 10 years; gave the “Heart of God” seminar twice – once in our church, once at the YWAM base; had 2 radio interviews; gave a John Maxwell teaching on Leadership; did electrical work on the church; gave a bible teaching at a “Half-Way House” for ex-drug addicts & alcoholics; gave the sermon “Becoming Climbing Companions of Jesus” twice; taught “Christian Relationship Development & Courtship Progression” to the youth group of another church; brainstormed with P. Roberto @ ideas regarding missions mobilization & classes for Renuevo & churches of Chile.
